Habitat

Dense tropical mountain forests

Conservation status

Critically endangered. Only a few of these creatures can still be found in a small area of Kenya. The species is at risk from habitat loss due to forest clearance, agriculture and development, as well as hunting.

Biology

The males are solitary, living apart from the groups of females with their young.
