Habitat
Savannahs, semi-desert areas, steppes

Conservation status
Vulnerable. The species is at risk from habitat loss due to agriculture, as well as hunting.

Biology
Hornbills move around mainly on foot and are surprisingly swift runners, reaching speeds of up to 30 km/h.
